When Beowulf Kingsley and "Sneakers" Durango first got together at an Art Fair in Ann Arbor, Mighigan, it was as a light-hearted goof between friends with a great love for classic Swing and Jump duos like Slim Galliard and Slam Stewart. It became easily apparent even on that first performance that there was a remarkable magic going on. Audiences recognised and were instantly endeared by the chemistry between the two performers, no less remarkable for the over 25-year disparity in their ages as for the instinctual musical interplay and the whimsical good humor between the two. Their first CD, "Cosmic R&B Debris" demonstrates Durangos amazing melodicism on both guitar and harp, Kingsley's effortless upright bass and guitar virtuosity, as well as their delightful and amusing vocals and harmonies.
